Where has the week gone??

This week has just flown by!
yay its Friday and its "mufti day" too :) The last friday of the month is always mufti day, and usually we have a BBQ at lunch. but they are having the BBQ next week for some reason. The only thing is, I hate going on inspections in jeans and a top.. it doesnt look very "official"... so I usually find stuff to do inside :)
I left my phone and wallet at home today!!
Well, my throat and ear got better, but this morning my other side of my throat feels sore :( Im still taking my antibiotics so I hope they work for that side too!!
So quiet at work at the moment... no one walking past yelling "MORNING LIS".. dunno where everyone is.. all tucked up in bed nice cosy perhaps...
Oh i did my first CT layout last night :)

I had 2 glasses of wine after dinner, which normally dont affect me...but last night, I was scrapping with a dizzy head...I told Travis i didnt want any cos im on antibiotics, but HE said it was just an old wives tail cos back in the "olden" days, the doctors used to tell that to old drunken men to try and get them off the booze. Dunno if I believe him, cos he asked me to bandage his wrist up before bed and I had so much difficulty... Im surprised my layout actually looks good!! LOL.

What was with al the car accidents yesterday?? 3 nasty ones that I know of just in the morning yesterday...

Ouch

I have an ear ache today.. and a sore throat :( Just generally feeling yucky today!
Must be a monday.....

We went diving again on the weekend :) Same place, Chowder Bay in Mossman (Dunno the name of the actual beach). We were doing a "peak performance buoyancy" course, which teaches us skills so we dont go touching the ocean floor and kicking sand, which makes it all mucky and hard to see.
Anyway I overcame my fear of taking my mask off underwater. The first time we had to do it as part of our course 2 years ago, I decided it would be a good idea to breathe in thru my nose... not good when you are underwater! LOL So I still havent gotten over that, and I was whinging about it at the surface, so the instructor knew he was going to have to work hard to get me to do it!!! But luckily he was very patient and a very nice person anyway, so much so that by the end of the day I was happily swimming around with no mask on when asked to :)

Then I spent Sunday cleaning the house while Travis worked on an assignment. Started printing off my LO's seeing as i finally bought some albums to put them in, and thats about it...

LOL Took the dogs up to the park yesterday afternoon, and Onslow - whilst walking a lot better - still gets tired quickly.. so Travis was running around with Belle trying to tire her out and I was sitting happily with Onslow... until I heard lots of buzzing, and saw 4 bees hanging around onslow, and even more buzzing around me.. like a crazy woman I stood up and started sprinting away waving my arms and screaming "BEES, BEES, BEES" and left poor Onslow to fend for himself!!! Luckily he thought I was playing and took off after me :) And there were other people in the park too.. how embarressing.. And then there was one lone bee that followed me, so of course I sprinted off again.. LOL what a goose!

well, I was intending on actually scrapping a mini LO, but after all the time it took to scan 26 NEGATIVES I couldnt be bothered!!! ANyway I think they look prety good, and seeing as I have put so many funny photos of linda, I thought I better put a nice one of her :)

The Q one (above) is my favourite of them all :) The only scrap stuff I used was a chalked edge overlay by LAuren bavin (Freebie at www.digitalscrapbookplace.com)

Now I just need to go find a fitting album.........

I REALLY HATE

MOZZIES!!!!!! Too bad they love me and cat get enough of me though. I was sitting on the lounge scrapping on Tuesday night with the cricket going and Travis sitting next to me.. I was concentrating really hard on a new LO I was doing cos it wasnt working, and I realised when I turned the computer off, my legs were itchy.. and they were COVERED in bites! Not happy Jan as I had not recovered from a previous batch of bites on my feet from Saturday night!! LOL
Anyway it was a hot and sticky night, and i woke up at around 1:30, arms were itchy (they had been hanging out of the bed cos i was hot) and then I heard an anoying buzz near my ear. So i got up on a rampage, drowned the bedroom with flyspray, drownd MYSELF in aerogard just in case i didnt get him with the spray while DH buried himself under the covers gagging and coughing.. its ok for him, they dont go anywhere NEAR him, let alone bite him....
Today those bites are now all so itchy!!! I walked around scrathing my legs, my arms, my back, even a few on the palm of my hand, and one under my eye.. right near my eyelashes so I ruin my mascara every time I scratch there!!! hahahaha
I was out doing inspections this morning, and I have a skirt on, and i happened to look down and my legs are covered in little pink dots (the bites). hmmm should of thought of that BEFORE deciding to wear a skirt today ;) Doesnt look very good... I have my tube of stingoes in my bag, but I think the little white patches of stingoes will just look even worse!!! ROTFL

Well, thats my rant. Hasnt made my itching go away though........

ANOTHER vet visit...

Well its been a few weeks since Onslow was diagnosed with hip dysplasia, and we had to go back today to see if his tablets have helped him.. and they have!! We could tell with the way he was walking, the way he could get up easier and how he has way more energy to run around crazy now! SO the vet was happy too, and the result is no surgery *at this time* we just need to keep up his medication.. LOL He has anti-inflamatorys, PLUS we have him on Glucosamine (human arthritis tabs) and Ester-C (vitamin C with added calcium). but they seem to be doing the trick for now :)

Today I had an RDO off work.. and I worked harder here than I would have at work!! LOL sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, ironing, washing, folding, scrubbing bathrooms and toilets, and a visit to the vet in peak hour afternoon traffic, and this vet isnt local, its a good 50 minute drive each way in traffic!!!! So I came home, had dinner and a few glasses of well-deserved red wine to wash it down :)

Then I scrapped the pics Trav took of me when I fell off my bike last year!! Having a shower was the most painful thing ever!! LOL

And thats it.. Travis is in bed, the dogs are laying outside my door snoring their big giant heads off (LOL They are SOOOO loud!!!!) and the house is silent.. and im soooooo sooo sooooo tired!!
I suppose that means I should be toddling off to bed too.. *yawn* zzzzzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzzzzzz :)

LOL I got 2 raspberry emails from SC yesterday!!!!!! I was so excited when i saw 2 from SC seeing as they say they will contact you if they want one.. THEN when I opened it it was a raspberry!!! ROTFLMAO lin, you are lucky, neither SM nor SC want you Jocylin LO, OR the funny bridesmaids layouts ;)

WELL, time for me to go do some aerobics. *sigh* I just feel like sleeping.. BUT I have to pull my finger out and do it :)

Bits and Pieces

ahh.. monday monday. I hate mondays. So unmotivated yet I have a fair bit of work to do... It can wait till tomorrow.. too hot to go outside investigating petty complaints.. I can not beleieve how many people whinge and complain about their neighbours and get Council involved in the most STUPIDEST of issues... dont people talk to their neighbours anymore? LOL ok, I am guilty of running inside to avoid one of mine so I dont get stuck talking to him for hours on end, but really these things are just silly!

Anyway I have joined in on Zinas challenge / journey over at scrapboxx.. first challenge list 25 personal achievements for 2005. LOL I cant even think of 25 things I actually DID let alone achieved last year!! hahahaha.

Well Travis is home sick today.. I hate going to work when I know he is at home relaxing, watching TV and playing with the dogs!! LOL But i have an RDO on Friday so I really cant complain :)

Actually, its great that he is into my scrapbooking hobby cos he always has the camera handy getting those perfect scrapping shots when Im not around!! LOL He took this of Onslow in full flight this morning:

I have been trying for ages to get a good one of them running so well done Travis on that one!!

Well, we went for another dive on saturday to try out our new gear.. travis almost sat on top of a big blue crab and quickly had to move his fingers out of the way cos it was a-snappin!!! LOL I was laughing so hard!!

Yesterday we went and visitted Linda and Scott and the girls for Mads's birthday. Got some good shots of Alyssa after convincing her I was actually taking photos of the really interesting tree behind her! LOL well, She had a tantrum and told me to stop looking at her and taking photos so after she found out I was taking them of the tree, she started acting silly.... and I got a great one of her doing a monkey dance!!! LOL Its still on the camera though, so I will upload it when I get home!!

A nice surprise

Well, yesterday I rang the breeder we bought the dogs off to just let her know about Onslow. She always said if anything happens or they have any problems she would like to know for future breeding lines etc. Anyway I only told her for her general information, and get this.. she has offered to pay for half of the surgery if he needs it!! How nice is that?? Poor thing was absolutely devastated to hear about him, and is even coming along with us to our next vet appointment :) They are a lovely family but I so was not expecting this!!! Its nice to know that breeders care about "their" puppies even after they have left home :)
But he seems to be doing better now he has his tablets... we were advised that there is a 50% chance that these tablets will help him and he wont require surgery.. so fingers crossed!!!! He certainly is moving about more freely and getting up more easily so they are good signs :)

In other news, Linda posted a LO with a funny pic of me, our other sis and our husbands a few weeks back... well... Leanne sent me a bunch of pics of linda pulling faces and told me to scrap them. I did one LO of the both of them, not too bad, but everyone was hasselling me to scrap one of the worst photos ever!! LOL So I did. And I must say, I took FOREVER getting this one "just right" :) I have issues with bright paper, and bright PP and get it to look "nice". I am quite pleased with how it turned out. I will refrain from posting it here, even though most of you who read this have commented anyway!!!

Travis just cant help himself and is always exploring and climbing things, throwing rocks over cliffs and into water.. LOL. This was at the offleash dog park in Windsor, he was straight up the tree! LOL. MMMM morning tea time VERY SHORTLY!!! LOL im starving :)
