ahhh...

LOL I started this LO yesterday, *finally* finished it tonight:

Its not what I had in mind... but thanks to travis's honesty it turned out like it did!! LOL I wanted somethng *different* and originally it was going to be "nanny's princesses", and my plan was to cut the pink coloured patterned papers in triangles and have them coming from the side of the pic, like a crown kinda thing, and I was going to put doodles and flowers aorund it... well... I had just about finished it and showed travis... he started at it for ages.. finally came out with:

It looks like a bit like a pineapple gone wrong.....

hahhaha thank goodness he is honest.. I got cranky at him and turned the computer off... opened it back up tonight and though OMG he was SOOO right!! This one has his seal off approval though ;)

I used the Parfait kit by bella gypsy designs, flower is by stephanie (aka silly birdnut) from scrapartist. Font used for the quote is Note This!

Anyway thats all... heading off to bed now.. cant be bothered uploading this to galleries at the moment :)

Well, goodnight..keep going.. the weekend is almost here!!!!!

Trip planning

Is such hard work!!! LOL Like I even know.. Travis is doing all the planning and itinerary work!! hahaha I just come along and say yep thats fine. Yep sounds good. Ok. hahhaha. Its all coming together. We have accomodation sorted for the first week (getting our hotels cheap from wotif, lastminute and needitnow.com!! LOL) and getting all our activities booked.

So we fly to Auckland on the 11th April, we are hiring a car and cruising down to the south island and flying out from Christchurch on the 28th April. hmm.. plane gets us back to Sydney at 4:30, and we have to RUSH home cos the panther's FIRST HOME GAME is on that night at 7:30!! ROTFL and we CAN NOT miss that!!!

Anyway back to the topic.. while in NZ we are doing a few dives.. Poor knights island, a ship wreck of a cruise liner and a nice cruise and dive around the feords in Milford Sound. We are also going ZORBING!!! ie get put in a big ball with water and roll down a hill!! hahaha I have always wanted to do that! We are seeing the glow worms.. which will be fun cos we sit on a rubber donut thing and get pulled along by a speed boat! We will go to the springs and mud baths, winerys, puzzle world where you walk through a maze (I can see myself getting soooo lost and being in there at midnight still!!) I am getting really excited now.. my first EVER overseas trip :) and less than 2 weeks of work left! woo hoo!!

hmm.. well i had a nice hiatus from scrapping (LOL For about a week) and have come back being all obsessed by circles.. whats with that?? Every layout lately has to have a circle on it somewhere or im just not happy with it!! ROTFL.
I do like this latest one I did though about our first year of marriage:
I used Bella Gypsys Savana "MEGA" paper pack, and the doodles are actually 2 Peas GG's love me font.

ooooh we are *finally* upgrading to an UNLIMITED plan.. at the moment we have a pitiful 400MB limit which lasts me 9 days!! ROTFL All my kits for my CT stuff have to be downloaded from mums computer and burnt to a disk and its just so time consuming. so that starts April 1 and I am looking fwd to going download crazy!!! hahahahah

Onlsows a funny dog.. I have not met a dog with such distinctive human qualities before... the other night Travis was asking him to "shake" (ie shake hands) and Onslow just sat there, not wanting too. So travis asked him in a more forceful tone of voice, to which I swear Onslow rolled his eyes, then he did a huge big sigh, nd very slowly bought his paw up to be shook. (shaked? Shaken?) The past week or 2, as soon as the lights are off and we go to bed, he wakes up, jumps on the bed, wanders around poking his nose in everything, after getting yelled at and told to go to sleep, he will lay in our doorway and be SOO noisy!! lots of sighs, and puffs, and snorting and wriggling and scraping his feet on the walls.. noisy galah!! I sleep right through it but it drives Travis insane!!!! hahahaha We try to put him outside but he "knocks" on the sliding glass door and bangs incessantly. Belle sits quietly on her mat and just watches.. not getting involved cos she hates being outside.

Oh well lunch time is over.. and im nice and full now!!! hehhe might be time for a cuppa though. The air conditioner is always set too low for my liking and i spend the whole day freezing and being covered in goose bumps!!!! LOL

Happy Birthday pups :)

It was Belle and Onslows first birthday yesterday and we had a lil celebration:

hehehe They had their party hats on, and we cooked them a delicious dinner of "bangers and mash" ie sausages on top of mashed potatoe. It went down a treat, and they both hoovered it all up in 2 seconds flat!!! Even old jessie got to have some sausage treats :) I was exhausted from my day and was falling asleep by 8:00pm... had a huge headache and was so tired, but I still managed to light 2 candles on a white chocolate mudcake (the cake was for Travis and I) and the dogs had a piece of bread with Jam each.. well.. Belle licked her jam and Onslow stole the bread cos she was being too slow for his liking :)

Anyway...yesterday.. what a day!!!!! I got an email to say I was on another CT!! This time for Faith True. I certainly wasnt expecting that.. now thats 3 that I am on... and no more applying no matter how great the designer is!! LOL I think 3 will be my limit :)

Then at work we had a Public Health Unit meeting, where all the COuncils in the area meet up with the guys from the public health unit and they usually organise a workshop / outing somewhere. Yesterday they focused on the funeral industry, and we went to Sydney uni for a tour of their "disecting museum" as well as looking at how they handle bodies etc. They basically receieve the bodies which have been donated to science.

***WARNING stop reading here if you have a weak stomach!!****

Anyway, so the bodies HAVE to have died from natural causes, not disease / tumors etc.. they embalm / preserve the body (a 12 month process) then after that the students start disecting then and identify bits and pieces.

The best disections end up in a jar in their museam... and its not just walking around looking at a heart, or a kidney, or a lung.. they have hands, feet, WHOLE HEADS (that freaked me out JUST a little!!!! LOL) and there was a section where they had foetuses, stillborn babies, a 2 headed baby... That was sad seeing such tiny, obvisouly new-born babies in the cabinet.. but there was an 11 week old foetus still completely in the sack with the umbilical cord attached.. amazing to see....

All the bits are partially disected, some so much you cant tell what it is, others just a tiny square so you can still see the entire face and recognise it.

The MOST fascinating thing, was that some of these had been done in 1912!!!!! I was amazed taht they were still so "fresh" looking!!! anyway that whole episode just made me feel weird.. not sick or anything, i was fascinated by it all, but at first I was a bit freaked out to be seeing such real bits of people.

And i wont go into the "band-saw" room, just thinking of that makes me sick!!! Anyway thats enough.. hope I havent grossed everyone out, and if you are still reading I applaud you!!!!!

I thought I would have had nightmares of walking past a jar and seeing eyes move and follow me... I just dreamt of snakes and bears chasing me off a cliff. LOL

I cant think of anymore to write.... I woke up with the same headache again... I took some sudafed and its starting to feel better, ever so slightly!! LOL I feel like going home already.. :)

Been Slack-O!!

LOL I havent updated in aaaaaages!!!!!

Travis was funny when i picked him up the other week (See previous post).. couldnt walk in a straight line to save himself! ROTFL hung out of the window yelling Mr. Bean style while I was driving, started bashing the horn on the steering wheel, slid the gear stick into neutral as I slowed down to turn a corner so when I went to accelerate I revved the guts out of the car!! LOL All things you want to deal with when trying to drive home at midnight and being so so so tired!!!!

I went to Bowral on Saturday and met up with a few ladies I met over at Scrapboxx :) It was a great day. and ooooh that white chocolate mousse and raspberry cake was fantastic!!!!! It was so good to finally put faces to names and avatars and drool over everyones albums!! LOL Here are a couple of pics.. The only person missing is the lovely Rachie... I do have one of her in it, but it is at home. (im at work, and emailed these to myself last night! LOL)

L-R: Chrissy, Susan, Cass, Vicki, Baby Maryia, Fran, Linda, Me, Julie, Tracy - Mum took this.. hence why it looks like we are all standing on a very steep hill!!! LMAO

L-R: Chrissy, Susuan, Cass, Fran, Linda, Me, Kylie, Tracy

THEN after that we went to SIL place for her hubbys birthday. We had delicious tacos for dinner and caramel mudcake yummmo!!! and then we spent the whoel day on Sunday relaxing :) Watched the football on tele, and went for a bike ride later in the afternoon.

In other exciting news... I am now on Lauren Griers Creative Team :) What a surprise that was!! LOL Her kits are really up my ally, (well duh thats why I wanted it! LOL) and I am very excited to be part of the team :)

And finally.. here is a LO I did of Alyssa on her swing on Sunday :) I used Bella Gypsy Designs - Razzelberry kit and the flower is by Michelle Coleman (Freebie from ScrapArtist :) Fonts used are impact condensed (title) and Serific Grunge.

hAve a good week :)

All alone.. for a while!

Travis has some work function on tonight.. well, he had a conference all day at Luna Park, then they had a cocktail party afterwards.. then I get a phone call at 9:15 where Travis actually asked if he could stay out longer and catch the 11:00pm train home (Which would mean I would need to pick him up at midnight!!) Poor thing looks like he belongs in the mafia... this is what his work are making them all wear:
I have been singing Blue's Brothers songs to him all week!!!! LOL Its such a jake and Elwood outfit.. all he needs are the glasses!!!

I am enjoying a nice quiet house, and I dont have to go to work tomorrow (Union picnic day) so I still have just under 2 hours to myself :)
And what have I done??? Well, came home and scrapped!! Then cooked some macaroni and cheese, watched Temptation, then a thing on Foxtel about digital Photography. (On the How to channel, whatever that is..) That took me up till 8:00, I fed the dogs, cleaned the kitchen, made Travs salad for lunch, put some eggs on the stove to boil and put those in the salad, then went back to the computer and started printing out my LO's.

ONE HOUR later I realised the eggs were still boiling!!!! LMAO They are well and truley well done. I printed off ALL the Lo's I have done (only been scrapping since November 05) and I have already filled up my new 40 page album!! LOL Time to buy refills already :)

Well, yesterday I went to the hairdresser :) I was walking by around 11:15am on my way back to the office.. ducked in and made the appt for my lunch break!!! LOL Sorry Peta I didnt have time for the "before" shots!!! I sat there and said I want it shorter and different please, and this is what he came up with:

I totally LOVE it!!! I didnt tell Travis about it, and the funny thing, HE got a hair cut in HIS lunch break and didnt tell me about it!! So when I picked him up we both burst out laughing :) He got rid of his spikesand got what they called a "trendy crewcut":

Well, as I said I have tomorrow off, AND i was clever and took an RDO on Monday so I have a 4 day weekend!! yippeeeee for me :) Might be going on a boat dive around the harbour this weekend.. undecided as yet though.

Hmm...
Whipped this up in 40 minutes today:

Travis cleaaing up the back yard.. The old owners had like 5 Jasime vines (which I love) growing sooo out of control it wasnt funny.. It took us 2 full days to cut the stupid things down. This was the last of the bushy / unkept / overgrown shrubby things whcih he was cutting. BG paper by me, stripe paper and blue paper by Angie Briggs from her TomBoy kit. I also did this one of Onslow yesterday but have been agonising over the flowers..
Used the Apple Crisp paper pack by Bella Gypsy Designs.. part of their yummy coffee shop collection!!! Available A Cherry on Top at Flowers are my usual primas :) oh and the stitches by Angie Briggs.

Oh well.... I could go on all night.. I think I am going ot have a cuppa tea now and.. i dunno.. think of something to keep me awake for the next hour.. *yawn* Im so tired!!! Wonder what kinda condition Trav will be in when I pick him up!!!

Sorry for the poor formatting.. I oculdnt be bothered arranging the pics nicely around the text, deal with it the same as you need to deal with the red-eye in the photos.. cant be bothered fixing those at this point in time either.

yay start of the NRL season this weekend.. Im so excited!! I love my football :) Entered the tipping comp at work again... I came 3rd last year and won $200 so that was a bit nice!!!

Okey dokey.... catch you later. Goodnight and dont let the bed bugs bite!!!

OOOOH I FORGOT TO FEED THE POOR CAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Weekend finished already???

well, I did 3 LO's this weekend.. I guess sometimes creativity just flows and the LO's just come together nice and quick!!

Didnt do much at all this weekend, and it was great!! Cleaned the house on Saturday and relaxed for the rest of the afternoon.. Today, after lots of indescision about what to do, we visited some friends who have just moved house. Took Belle and Onslow too, cos they have an Old English Sheep dog and a Rottweiller. The 4 of them get along well together so they had a bit of a play while we had a tour. And thats about it.. nice and relaxing!! Which is why I managed to get 3 LO's done ;)
Here they are:

Well, I have gotten sick of my hair, and after reading Kylies blog the other day, and Lindas blog today about each of them getting their long hair chopped, Im thinking of just going to my hairdresser and telling her to chop it off!! I dunno what style I want, so im thinking of just telling them to do whatever with it... its only hair, it will grow back!! Im just sick of it.. I have had it long for a while now, and while I get her to change the layers each time it just looks the same after a few weeks.

Well, I suppose I better start getting ready for bed now.. Only 5 more weeks till our new zealand holiday!!!! yay Im counting down already!!! LOL

PS the meat wasnt off!! We had it for dinner last night, and so far ive been fine ;) Its been just over 24 hours, but seeing as I did this stuff at uni, I know the symptoms for some food poisoning bacteria can take up to 48 hours... so we will see how I go this time tomorrow!!!

LO's, Random thoughts and manky meat!

LOL I cant believe its been a whole week.. time is just flying by at lightning speed!! I feel like I have done a lot though.. LOL Tabatha and Lena are designer MACHINES!!! LOL Another 6 kits were added last night and ooooooh they are delicious!! LIterally.. with names like Cheesecake, blueberry muffin they make me hungry!!
Anyway.. speaking of kits and LO's here are my most recent LO's....

HUGS AND KISSES- Created with Bella Gypsy's Bohemian Luxe Kit, hearts are brushes I downloaded from www.deviantart.com (I think tahts the right address....)
ABOUT ME- My bio page for the CT which was created with Tabathas kit called Shine, which can be bought from A Cherry On top (Click on Bella Gypsy Designs at the left!) and the flower was by Stephanie whcih I got from www.scrapartist.com
STRIKE A POSE- also created with Shine by Tabatha Reed. Edges and ink splatters are brushes, which I also got from DeviantART. SO hard to find things for The Gimp but this site has HEAPS of free stuff, for all the different programs out there!

Ok where was I??? Well the Bella Gypsy website has been launched!
GO CHECK IT OUT lots of fun stuff.

LOL We bought 2 kilos of premium mince on Sunday (on special.. $12 for 2 kilos!!) and we got some veal schnitzels.. well.. we put the whole bag in the freezer, it got pushed to the back and we came across it last night, only 4 days after we bought it, but the veal was sooo smelly!! LOL The mince appeared to be ok, wasnt smelly or slimy or anything.. it looked yuck on the outside, all brown and yucky, but once you removed the top layer, it was pink. The cat refused to eat it raw and she is usually pretty keen on mince. SO i dunno what to do with it!! I dont want to throw out 2 kilos!! hahahaa. Travis cooked some and it tasted nice, and the cat ate it once it was cooked.. oh well its in the freezer now, so if i get sick.. well we will know that the mince WAS manky!! LOL I was sooo looking fwd to that veal though :(

Update on Onslow.. he is walking pretty much like a normal dog now :) He can last a whole walk without stopping, and runs as fast as Belle. So his big concoction of drugs must be helping.. human arthritis tabs, Ester-C tabs (a form of Vit. C) and his anti-inflamatories are working wonders on him, so yay on that score.

LOL My task for this weekend is to scan my photos of my axolotls and scrap them for the Bella Gypsy CT :) We had a discussion about them cos most people had never heard of an axolotl before ;)

We went for a night dive last Saturday and it was fantastic!! We saw an eel, lots of starfish, sea horses, squid, octopus, cuttlefish, bright coloured prawns... so much stuff down there at night time, its amazing!! Going back on Saturday for a day-time dive ;)
We are really getting value for money with our gear!! LOL Beats hiring stuff and getting smelly things that dont fit properly!

Yeah thats probably it... counting down the time until I can get out of here and go home and relax!!
